SUA/ATCAA Website Help


This is the default homepage for the FAA Special Use Airspace & Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace Website. This Website allows users to view SUA/MTR airspace data and images that are active or scheduled to be active within the next 24 hours.

 

Navigation Tabs


Use the following navigational tabs to navigate the SUA Website pages:


Home: Default homepage for SUA Website.

SUA List: Displays SUA and MTR scheduling data in a table format.

SUA Map: Displays SUA and MTR scheduled airspaces in a graphical map format.

Airports: Displays airspace data interacting with an individual airport or between two selected airports in a graphical map format.

FAA Links – Located in the upper right corner of the SUA website and provides links to external websites as follows:

Ø       FAA Home (www.faa.gov) - Federal Aviation Administration

Ø       Pilot Web (www.pilotweb.nas.faa.gov) - Current NOTAM information

Ø       TFR (tfr.faa.gov) – Temporary Flight Restriction

Last Update Information


The Schedule As Of: field displays the date and time of the most recent SAMS data extraction in Zulu time. The SUA website data is refreshed once every 60 minutes for display. However, to verify the latest SUA information, call your local Flight Service Station at 1-800-EX-BRIEF. 

Schedules that expire prior to the next SAMS update will remain in the SUA List until the next update occurs.
NOTE: Expired airspaces will no longer be visible on the SUA or Airports maps.


 


Session Time-Out


SUA Website sessions will expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. When this occurs the schedule information may no longer be current. Click Refresh in the browser window to load current schedule information.

Depicted Special Use Airspace (SUA) and Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace (ATCAA) data may not be complete. Pilots should use this information for planning purposes only. For the latest SUA information, call your local Flight Service Station at 1-800-WX-BRIEF. Information concerning ATCAA airspace can be obtained from the associated Air Route Traffic Control Center.
