Map Help
This is
the Graphic Map tabbed page for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Special Use Airspace (SUA) Website. This page allows users to dynamically map
Special Activity Airspace (SAA) and Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs). SAA
data includes all SUAs, Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspaces (ATCAA), Military
Training Routes (MTRs), and Aerial Refueling Routes/Anchors (ARs). Users may
add map layers or use the zoom and pan functionality to customize the map
display.
Map layer
options appear within fly-out menus located in the upper right corner of the
map. Some Map Layer options will only display at specific zoom levels as
indicated within the menu. Zoom levels are ordered in the Zoom tool from Level
1 at the top to Level 10 at the bottom of the bar. Visual Flight Rule (VFR) and
Instrument Flight Rule (IFR) sectional charts may be displayed when zoomed to
levels 3 and 6. In addition, users may choose specific airspace types to be
displayed within the map for all SAAs, including National Security Areas
(NSAs), MTRs, and TFRs.
A user
can also select a particular center or state from the corresponding menu list
provided to zoom into an area of interest. All centers, including Oceanic
Flight Information Regions (FIRs), are labeled and outlined within the map;
centers in blue and FIRs in red.
To get
information for a particular airspace, mouseover the actual airspace displayed
within the map to view its name and click to open a pop-up window containing
the scheduling information for that airspace and any interacting airspaces.
Navigation Tabs
Use the navigational
tabs to navigate to the Text List tabbed page which displays SAA scheduling and TFR NOTAM data in a
table format.
List: Displays SUA, MTR, and TFR scheduling data in a table format.
NOTE: The List provides details of TFRs
that can be viewed by clicking on the TFR NOTAM ID, which opens a TFR Details
Page.
